Cookie Policy

1. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. The cookie is placed on your device by the website itself (‘first-party cookies’) or by partners of the website (‘third-party cookies’). The cookie identifies your device by a unique identification number when you return to the website and collects information about your browsing behaviour.

There are different types of cookies. We distinguish the following cookies according to their purposes: there are essential or strictly necessary cookies and non-essential cookies (functional, analytical and targeting cookies).

The Belgian law of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications contains a number of provisions about cookies and their use on websites. The law is a transposition of the European ePrivacy Directive, which means that cookie legislation can be implemented differently in different European member states. O’LIVE is based in Belgium and therefore respects Belgian and European legislation regarding cookies.

2. Purpose and usefulness of cookies

By visiting the website, you can agree to the placing of cookies. Cookies help O’LIVE to optimise your visit to the website and provide you with an optimal user experience. However, you are free to delete or limit cookies at any time by changing your browser settings (see ‘Managing cookies’).

Disabling cookies may affect the way the website works, thus limiting some functions of the site or making them inaccessible. If you decide to disable cookies, we cannot guarantee that our website will work smoothly or optimally.

3. Types of cookies used by O’LIVE

We distinguish the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: these cookies are necessary for the website to work and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions set by you, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.
  • Non-essential cookies: these cookies are not necessary for the website to work, but they do help us provide you with an improved and personalised website.
    • Functional cookies: these cookies allow the website to offer better functionalities and personalisation. They may be set either by us or by external providers whose services we have added to our pages.
    • Analytical cookies: these cookies allow us to monitor visits and traffic, so that we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They provide us with information about the most popular and least popular pages and how visitors move through the site.
    • Targeting cookies: these cookies can be set by our advertising partners via our site. These companies can then compile a profile of your interests and show advertisements relevant to you on other sites.

We use two types of cookies, namely our own cookies (‘first-party cookies’) and cookies of carefully selected partners with which we cooperate (‘third-party cookies’).
